Safe Teen Accident Reduction Training with the Tucson Police Department to teaches teens about safe driving Saturday.

An instructor accompanies anywhere from one to three students in a car.

Among the things they learn are defensive driving, accident avoidance, and skid-recovery skills.

Tucson Police Casey Taylor said "Everybody here has a drivers license are ready and have some driving experience, but it varies you could have a 16-year-old with a month of driving experience verses somebody who is 19 and has been driving for three years so we deal with all different type of experienced drivers and the whole goal is just to make them safer and the roads safer for everyone."

The class is free for students ages 16 to 19. To register for the next class, click here.
