TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson Police Department has been chosen to receive a grant for the K9 Unit.
The Aftermath K9 grant has given TPD $4,000.
The grant supports law enforcement along with the help of their K9 Unit. The grant is to assist in maintenance, equipment, and training programs.
The nominees are chosen by officers, the local community, and businesses. Any K9 unit within the U.S. is eligible to be voted for.
The 2019 grant will be open in October. Those who want to participate in the grant have to be nominated during the voting time.
