Tucson Police are investigating a homicide that happened near the west side, Monday evening

TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson Police are currently investigating a homicide that happened on the west side of town, Monday night.

Officers were called to a home near 100 block of South Grande Avenue around 6:00 p.m.

Officials say, there were reports of someone at the residence refusing to leave.

The 911 caller and a resident of the home was 55-year-old Andrew Gallardo.

Once officers arrived on scene they found Gallardo inside the home and unresponsive with sign of blunt force trauma.

Tucson Fire Department was called to the home for aid.

Officials say, Gallardo died on the scene.

Detectives with the Tucson Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene for further investigation.

Detective determined Mr. Gallardo got into an altercation with an unknown man in the front yard of the residence.

TPD are now looking for the unknown man involved in the altercation.

He is described as Hispanic man, appears to be in his 30s to 40s with short dark hair. The man may also have tattoos on his arms and neck.

There are no further details at this time.
