Tucson Parks and Rec holds open house to discuss Reid Park improvement projects

TUCSON, Ariz. — The City of Tucson Tucson Parks and Recreation and Reid Park Zoo are holding an open house to discuss improvement projects Tuesday.

The open house is from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Randolph Golf Complex, Copper Room, 602 S. Alvernon Way.

The public will be able to participate in discussions about plans of Gene C. Reid Park and the Reid Park Zoo master plan.

Part of the park projects include a new splash pad, a new playground, upgrades to the DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, and renovations to the walking path.

Reid Park staff will present information about the Zoo's master plan along with the the expansion and a timeline.

The community will also get an opportunity to provide feedback about all the projects.
