TUCSON, Ariz. - A Tucson man was sentenced to serve nearly seven years in prison for downloading child porn.
According to Homeland Security Investigations, 43-year-old Daniel Courville was arrested March 28, 2017 for downloading pictures of child porn, including sexual abuse of pre-pubescent children.
HSI started to investigate Courville in 2015, when special agents received a tip from Swiss police about a server they seized with files connected to Courville.
Agents raided Courville's home and found more than 200 child porn videos and images that he tried to delete using special software.
Courville's bench trial started July 30, and he was convicted of knowingly accessing child porn.
He was sentenced to 70 years in prison. In 90 days, a hearing will determine how much restitution Courville must pay to victims.
