Tucson joins the list of 2018's Best Summer Travel Destinations

School's out for some students, the scorching sun is showing its strength, and vacationers are penciling in their next destination out of town. 

Most of the time, people tend to escape Tucson's heat for the perfect getaway in cooler climates, but a new survey from WalletHub begs to differ. 

The personal-finance website compared 100 metro areas across 40 key indicators of budget, fun, and friendliness, and Tucson came in at #45. Phoenix is a few spots behind, ranking at #52 for 2018.
