TUCSON, Ariz. — Members of the Tucson Jewish community are gathering Wednesday night to remember victims of the brutal attack at a California synagogue earlier this week.

Chabad Tucson, who is organizing the event, says Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and Tucson Police Deputy Chief Chad Kasmar will be in attendance, along with friends of some of the victims.

The hour-long event -- called "Solidarity and Prayer for Poway" -- is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Chabad Tucson, at 2443 East 4th Street.

On Saturday, a gunman opened fire at the Chabad of Poway synagogue, just outside of San Diego. A woman was killed and three others injured, including a rabbi.
