TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson International Airport is opening the new C Gates this week.
Starting Jan. 10, passengers who fly Allegiant Air will have to know where to find the C Gates as they are not in the main airline terminal.
The new gates are in a one-level building that has its own separate entrance about 300 feet west of the main terminal. Long-time airport users may remember the building as the former International Terminal until 2008.
The first arrival flight using the C Gates will be from Bellingham, Washington. That flight is scheduled to arrive at 7 p.m.
The first departing flight using the C Gates will be back to Bellingham, Washington at 7:40 p.m.
Allegiant Air will also offer flights to and from Provo, Utah.
TIA held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new C Gates facility at the airport Monday morning.
