Tucson Homeless Connect event being held to assist homeless people

The Tucson Homeless Connect is hosting an event to assist homeless people.

The 20th 'One Day, One Stop' event will be held at the Trinity Presbyterian Church on 400 E. University Blvd. on Oct. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. with lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Tucson Homeless Connect said about 240 bus passes will be given out, as well as 320 personal care kits. State ID cards, job assistant appointments and help with both legal and medical issues will be available.

Tucson Homeless Connect is expecting about 300 people to attend. There are about 50 providers and 100 volunteers who will make this event possible.
