Tucson heat forces closure of Monsoon Chocolate

Posted

Tucson's recent intense temperatures are definitely hot enough to melt chocolate and one local chocolatier says the heat is keeping them from opening their doors.

Monsoon Chocolate on 22nd Street announced Sunday on Facebook that they'll be closing for the foreseeable future because of the heat. They say a climate control issue in their dining room is making it too hot for diners, workers, and their chocolate.

Monsoon Chocolate plans to continue to produce chocolate, bread, and pastries for their wholesale retailers.

The Facebook post says they've talked to the landlord about this problem and hope to reopen soon.
