TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A group of Tucson firefighters are showing they can do a lot more than just fight fires and saves lives, but rock and roll as well.

The Turnouts is a band made of four current and retired firefighters. They entered into a Battle of the Bands competition against other groups of firefighters from around the country. The grand prize is to perform at Lucas Oil Stadium in April as part of the Fire Department Instructor Conference - the largest fire department conference in the world.

"To be able to be with my fellow firefighters here and play the music and represent Tucson, Arizona is something that would be really special because we'd be going to the largest fire department conference in the world," said Frank Granados, drummer and retired Tucson firefighter.

Granados says they are the only group made of only firefighters, all other groups have non-firefighting members. As for the competition, he hopes anyone who has been helped by a firefighter in town will take a few minutes and vote for them.

They covered Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" in a music video they submitted for the competition. You can see that here.
