TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson Fire Department is offering a free car seat for those who attend a car seat safety class this summer.
The department is funding the promotion with a $15,000 car seat safety grant it received last year as part of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety Safe Riders Program.
Safe Kids Pima County will give away more than 100 combination seats for children ages 2 to 5.
Those who want to qualify for a free seat need to attend one of four safety classes.
The classes are at Fire Central, 300 S. Fire Central Place, at 5 p.m. June 19, 8 a.m. June 29, 8 a.m. July 27 and 5 p.m. July 31.
