TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Fire Department has been awarded a $20,000 car seat safety grant from the Arizona Governor's office of Highway Safety.

Tucson Fire will use the grant money to buy car seats that will grow with the child from birth until they reach the height of 4 foot 9 inches.

The grant will provide the opportunity to help ensure the safety of young residents, and the goal is to reduce the number of fatalities.

The grant will also provide service from TFD to the community with no extra cost.

Tucson Fire Chief Chuck Ryan said "It is truly a win-win for everyone."
