The Tucson Expo Gun Show

Posted

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - One of the biggest gun shows in Tucson is coming to town in the wake of surging gun sales across the country. Following last week's shooting in San Bernardino and the Paris attacks earlier this month, gun control continues to be a hot topic among politicians and activists across the country.

Exhibitors at the gun show in Tucson this weekend hope the recent surge in firearm sales will help them keep civilians better protected.

Nine On Your Side spoke with one of the exhibitors at the show. In addition to the surge in sales as a response to recent terror attacks, Mike Reber of Arizona Arms LLC says the fear of harsh gun control laws is causing many consumers to buy what they can before it's too late.

"We've got a lot of fear in this country and a lot of crime. "When you couple that with the government wanting to take away guns or at least regulate them to a serious point, it's going to keep the gun sales strong for quite a while."

The Tucson expo gun show is set to feature dozens of exhibitors displaying modern and antique firearms, collectable memorabilia and ammunition.

The gun show runs from 9 to 5 tomorrow, and from 9 to 3:00 on Sunday. For tickets, click here.
