This comes as the Arizona Corporation Commission examines disconnection practices for utility companies state wide.

Last year a person died after their power was cut off in Phoenix.

TEP says this is not a debt forgiveness program, but they will work with the community and those who are having a hard time making their payments.

Anyone who is experiencing troubles paying their bills are are asked to contact their customer care team.
