TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson Department of Transportation crews have begun Operation Splash.

Operation Splash consists of prepping Tucson city roads for potential flooding once monsoon rolls around.
This week, crews with the Streets and Traffic Maintenance Division began delivering barricades to dip crossings all around Tucson.
Crews plan on delivering more than 500 barricades to the more than 150 dip crossing in the city.
When severe weather is forecasted crews use radar to determine what areas they need to keep an eye on.
As part of Operation Splash, crews will also be be setting up a self-serve sandbag site in the Hi Corbett Field parking lot on June 10.
