TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - The longtime president and CEO of the Tucson Airport Authority has been replaced.

The authority's governing board held a special meeting Friday, and Bonnie Allin was ousted from her job.

Allin had been CEO of the airport authority since 2002.

The authority manages Tucson International Airport and Ryan Airfield.

Danette Bewley has been named interim president and CEO. She has been vice president of operations and chief operating officer for the authority since 2014.

The Airport Authority's board will begin a national search for permanent replacement for Allin.
