A tow truck driver was killed in a hit and run collision on Westbound I-10 in the early morning of June 4.

The tow truck driver who died has been identified as 58-year-old Danny Haro. He worked for Big Dave's Towing out of Benson.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Haro was assisting a disabled motorist at milepost 295, seven miles west of Benson, when a box truck hit and killed him. The truck fled the scene and was headed towards Tucson.

Troopers are asking for the public's help in locating the run vehicle.

Detectives are looking for a white box truck with a broken red light on the passenger side.

The broken light might be either a front right turn signal or a red reflector from the passenger side.

Troopers want to remind people that the state's move over law does apply tow trucks. Any time you see a vehicle pulled over with it's lights flashing move over a lane, and if you can't do that safely slow down. According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, one tow truck driver is killed every 6 days across the country.

If you have any information on the incident please call ADPS Criminal Investigations at 520-746-4500 or 602-223-2840.

A GoFundMe page was set up for Haro's family.
