Looking for a weekend excursion this summer? KGUN 9's "Trip on a Tank" shows you the best places, exhibits, museums and natural areas to take the family on just one tank of gas. This week, Mark Charter checks out the Mini Museum right here in Tucson.

The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures collection has more than 400 miniature houses and room boxes, plus other collectibles.

"We have everything from fairy castles to a replica of the Gamble House in California," says Execuitve Director, Lisa Hastreiter-Lamb.

The museum’s artifacts are organized into three main areas: the Enchanted Realm, History Gallery and Exploring the World. And during the summer, it's a perfect place to bring the entire family. It's not just a good place to cool off, there are also deep discounts you can take advnatage of.

"We have a family summer pass and it's for $35. You can bring four children and two adults, " says Hastreiter-Lamb. It also includes discounts to our museum store and programs this summer."

The museum also has an array of temporary exhibits that rotate throughout the year. Click here for a list of current and upcoming exhibits.
