The chief judge for the Yavapai-Apache Nation Tribal Court has been picked to serve as the new chief executive of the State Bar of Arizona.
Joel England will replace retiring State Bar chief executive John Phelps in early 2019.
Prior to becoming a tribal judge, England served 21 years in the United States Air Force.
He previously worked as chief of professional responsibility for the Air Force Judge Advocate General's Corps and as general counsel for the 56th fighter wing at Luke Air Force Base.
