Symptoms of those who have consumed tainted or counterfeit alcohol at Mexican resorts include sickness, wooziness or blacking out.

The warning comes after 20-year-old Abbey Connor died after becoming sick from drinking alcohol at an Iberostar resort near Playa del Carmen.

Since the report, numerous people have come forward saying they got sick and experienced blackouts at resorts in Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
