Tucson Police arrested a man after a SWAT standoff on the Northwest side of Tucson Sunday morning.

TPD has identified the man as 32-year-old Daniel Matlock.

According to Sgt. Pete Dugan with TPD, Matlock was involved in a home invasion with two other suspects around 2:30 a.m. near Valencia and Santa Clara.

The suspects robbed the home and assaulted the two residents inside.

Sgt. Dugan says that the two victims, a man, and a woman, were "hurt pretty badly and have significant injuries." The suspects stole the victim's property inside the home and also took the man's vehicle.

Police say that the male victim knew the suspects and that this was not a random home invasion.

Authorities served a warrant of one of the suspects at N. Casas Seranas Drive near La Cholla and Ruthrauff at 10:15 a.m. Sunday.

Daniel Matlock was found in a neighboring home and was taken into custody after the SWAT standoff ended.

He has been charged with:

  • One count Aggravated Robbery
  • Two counts Armed Robbery
  • Two counts Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
  • One count First Degree Burglary
  • One count Sexual Assault

The two other suspects on still on the loose.
