The Tucson Police Department responded to a fatal crash at Grant Road and Palo Verde Thursday night. Eddie Kim, 70, died in the wreck.

Officers also respondedto a deadly pedestrian crash Thursday night

Police say Kim was the sole occupant of his vehicle. He was driving westbound on East Grant Road in a gold 1995 GMC Yukon. As he drove past Palo Verde Road, a black 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser failed to yield, t-boning his vehicle while driving northbound through the intersection.

Kim was partially ejected and pinned under the vehicle when it stopped. He did not appear to have been wearing his seatbelt.

The PT Cruiser spun around in the intersection. Officers spoke to the driver at the scene and determined that speed did not appear to be a factor in the collision, and there were no signs of impairment.

Detectives continue to investigate and have not issued any citations or made any arrests.

Those with information should call 88-CRIME.
