Tucson police are making sure drivers and passengers buckle up.
It is part of the department's Buckle up Arizona deployment.
For 2 weeks, from May 22 to June 4, police departments all around the state stepped up enforcement of seat belt laws.
Over the course of the deployment TPD found 118 people not wearing seat belts and 6 children not properly restrained in the car.
Police say using the correct restraints can reduce chances of death in a serious accident by up to 50%.
