TPD offering active violence encounter preparedness course

TUCSON, Ariz. — In the wake of recent mass shootings the Tucson Police Department is offering an active violence encounter preparedness course.

Police say this training is of extreme importance.

TPD says the presentation will go over preparedness strategies, potential warning signs and actual methods to consider if you are in a given situation with an active shooter.

The entry time will start at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation will promptly start at 6:00 p.m. located at Tucson Police Department's Westside Service Center.

The class is free and open to the public. Those attending will need to register online.
