TPD: Man arrested on 1st-degree murder charges following shooting

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — A Tucson man was arrested on first-degree murder charges Wednesday following a homicide investigation.

According to the Tucson Police Department, officers responded to an unknown trouble call at 501 N. Park Ave. at 9:58 a.m.

Upon arrival, they contacted a 22-year-old man named Cesar Antonio Anaya Guitron.

While officers were speaking to Guitron, they received information that a shooting took place earlier that morning inside an apartment at 4880 E. 29th Street.

Officers responded to that apartment and found a man who was deceased with gunshot trauma. His identity has not been released.

TPD detectives believe the victim was living with Guitron in the apartment.

After further investigation, officers arrested Guitron and charged him with first-degree murder.
