Tucson Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred near 29th and Rosemont Tuesday night at the Rosemont Garden Apartments.
According to Sgt. Dugan with TPD, two men were in an altercation in the parking lot of the apartments. During the altercation, one man shot another man multiple times.
The man who died has been identified as 33-year-old Roger Rene Quiroz Jr.
Police say Quiroz had a knife, the details of what led up to the shooting are unclear.
Police say the shooter remained on the scene and cooperated with police. He has since been detained, interviewed, and released.
