TPD investigating midtown homicide

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson police are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 3600 block of E. Ellington Place near Palo Verde Ave. and E. 32nd St.

According to TPD, on October 1 officers responded to a report of a check welfare on a man down in the street. First aid was being provided by citizens that were on the scene.

Police say the victim had obvious signs of trauma and was transported to Banner UMC where he later died. He has been identified as 25-year-old Jimmain Middleton.

Detectives are continuing to investigate. They have learned that Middleton lives in the area, but right now it is not known how he ended up in the street with injuries.
