TPD investigating homicide on Tucson's Eastside

UPDATE: 7:26 p.m. Tuesday:

The female victim has been identified as 20-year-old Marissa Jones Anderson.

Detectives learned there was a gathering at the vacant house before the shooting took place.

After police collected evidence and interviewed several of the attendees, 18-year-old Josiah Williamking Walker was identified as a suspect.

Walker was found and taken into custody at his home near W. Speedway Blvd. and N. Riverview Blvd. and was charged with Manslaughter.

He has been booked into the Pima County Jail and no bond has been set.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and ask anyone with information to call 911 or 88-CRIME.


A homicide investigation is underway in the 300 block of North Indian House Road, near East Fifth Street and North Wilmot Road.

Tucson Police responded to reports of a shooting at just before 2 a.m., according to TPD.

A woman was found dead at the scene. Additional details are limited, according to TPD.

The investigation is ongoing.
