Tucson police identified a woman who died while riding her bicycle and hit by a vehicle near Ft. Lowell and Oracle Tuesday.
Police say 34-year-old Katie A. Tucker died in the wreck.
Tucker was riding westbound on Fort Lowell in the curb lane, passing through the Castro Ave. intersection when the wreck occurred. The driver of a 2000 Ford Focus headed westbound on Fort Lowell merged into the median lane and hit Tucker, who witnesses said made an abrupt left turn in front of the vehicle.
Tucker was not wearing a helmet. The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
No citations or arrests were issued.
