The Tucson Police Department is increasing its DUI enforcement efforts this Cinco De Mayo weekend.
TPD says the goal is to increase the awareness of motorists regarding the dangers of impaired driving.
The Tucson Police Department encourages drivers to avoid operating a vehicle after consuming any alcohol. Just as you have planned your activities for the day, plan your ride home. If you choose to consume alcohol, utilize a designated sober driver, taxi cab or ride share service to avoid putting lives at risk. Please, make the right choice and have a safe and enjoyable Cinco De Mayo weekend, Sgt. Pete Dugan said.
