TUCSON, Ariz.-- The Tucson Police Department is increasing their impaired driver enforcement unit efforts for the upcoming Cinco de Mayo weekend.
TPD will have saturation patrol with DUI task force starting May 3 through May 5, "The goal of the saturation patrols is to increase the awareness of motorists regarding the dangers of impaired driving, deter those who may be impaired from driving and investigate DUI offenses to reduce the number of impaired drivers on the road," TPD said.
If you are celebrating Cinco de Mayo this weekend, TPD discourages drinkers from driving and reminds you to use safe ride options back home.
