Police officers, volunteers and civilians were awarded by the Tucson Police Department today.
The awards included medals for merit, valor and distinguished service.
Officer Alexandra Rambaran received the life-saving award for her quick response and brave actions that saved a man's life.
"I pulled a guy off the train tracks last year during a call. He was having a really bad day that day and he, you know, wanted to end his life. And when I got there, I didn't want that to happen to him so I went and I pulled him off," Rambaran told KGUN9.
In total, 18 people were honored by TPD.
