TUCSON, Ariz. - A complete closure of the Grant and First Avenue intersection begins Friday night.
Starting May 18 at 7 p.m. until Sunday at 5 p.m., all travel will be diverted as crews finish base paving work.
There will be access to nearby businesses and neighborhoods.
According to a media release from the city:
All through traffic and turns will be prohibited at Grant and Stone. Traffic heading toward the intersection will be restricted on Grant at North Oracle Road and North First Avenue, and on Stone at Glenn and Drachman streets.
Access to businesses and residences will be maintained.
Crews have been working on the stretch of Grant from Stone to Park since March 2017.
