Authorities are investigating a shooting that happened at Tombstone early Saturday morning that left one man injured.

According to Carol Capas with the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, 47-year-old Edward Roberson and an unnamed woman went into the Doc Holliday's Saloon Friday night. Upon entering the bar, the two were told that they could not have their handguns with them while they were inside the building. The two then gave their guns to the bartender for safe keeping.

While they were inside the bar, the two got into a verbal argument with two men which continued until the couple retrieved their weapons shortly before 1:00 a.m.

Capas says that Roberson got into a struggle with one of the two men before a shot was fired injuring the man in the lower leg.

The man was airlifted to a Tucson hospital and Roberson was booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct with a weapon, Misconduct with a weapon and Endangerment. He remains in custody on a $25,000 bond.

This investigation is being continued by the Cochise County Sheriff's office.
