LOS ANGELES — Tiger Woods was injured in a crash in the Los Angeles area early Tuesday morning, sheriff's officials say.
The professional golfer was reportedly traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard when his vehicle crashed at Blackhorse Road.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office says the vehicle was seriously damaged in the wreck.
Woods had to be extricated from the vehicle with the "jaws of life."
The extent of his injuries is not yet known.
