U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of San Luis arrested three men for separate attempts to smuggle a combined $182,000 in methamphetamine on May 5.

In the first incident officers removed more than 18 pounds of meth, valued at more than $55,000 from a Ford sedan driven by a 33-year old male Mexican national.

In a second incident officers found more than 11 pounds of meth, worth more than $33,000, in a Chrysler sedan driven by a 45-year-old man from Somerton, Arizona.

In the final discovery, officers removed 31 pounds of meth after a drug dog was alerted to the back seat of a Ford truck driven by a 48-year-old San Luis, Arizona man. That stash was estimated to be worth over $94,000.

CBP officers seized the drugs and vehicles and arrested all three men.
