COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The Cochise County Sheriff's Department says three brushfires are burning in the northeast part of the county.
Carol Capas, a spokesperson for the department, says the grass fires are in White Tail Canyon, Portal Peak, and Highway 80 (two to three miles from New Mexico Border).
The fires are believed to be caused by lightning strikes. Arizona's State Land Department is allocating resources to the fires.
