TUCSON, Ariz. - Memorial Day is still two weeks away, but a national veterans group is now out trying to raise awareness.
The movement is called "Carry The Load," started by two Navy Seals in 2011.
Their mission has been to restore the meaning of Memorial Day, that they feel has been lost over the years.
They've held national relays where the group walks and bikes over 11,000 miles carrying an American flag.
On Monday, they stopped in Coolidge, and several sports in Tucson to hand off the flag.
They'll end the day at the Tucson Fire Department, station 19 around midnight.
