The Maverick, one of Tucson's longest living live music venues is celebrating 56 years.
According to a press release, The Maverick has become a well-known Tucson legend that launched country music performers from Tucson to the national stage.
To celebrate 56 years, The Maverick invites Tucson to their anniversary celebration on Sunday starting at 5 p.m. with free admission. The Maverick will be giving away free t-shirts to the first 100 people through the doors.
According to Karen Markovich, The Maverick General Manager, there is a whole country lineup performing Sunday, including Troy Olsen, who will be flying in from Nashville for the celebration.
