Many buildings in Downtown Tucson are filled with colors and eye-catching artwork.
Now, the City of Tucson is looking for more artists to continue painting murals.
"The city is delighted to be able to add some murals to the downtown area. It helps us prevent graffiti and blight but more importantly it really adds to the cultural diversity and artistic nature to the city of Tucson."
Two years ago, the city began the first phase of its mural arts program adding 10 murals.
This time around they're looking to convert three more buildings into a piece of art with a $40,000 grant from VisitTucson and the Tohono O'dham nation.
"When we do our call to artists we ask them to bring all their unique ideas to us and then we work with the building owners to put up a mural that really makes everyone really happy and is reflective of the diverse, exciting culture we have here in Tucson."
Only original artwork is accepted, the artist must be from Arizona and the deadline to apply is more than two weeks away.
