Over the last two days, the Tucson Fire Department says they've been responding to an increased amount of calls.

TFD says they have responded to at least 14 heat related emergencies and 10 of them had to be taken to the hospital.

One of the calls took TFD to a residential care center where nine people were being cared for and five of them were taken to the hospital after the air conditioner hadn't been working since Saturday.

TFD says people need to have a backup plan for when their air conditioner should go out.

Below is a list of locations the city has provided for people to go to if they need to get out of the heat.
