TFD crews respond to structure fire on Congress Street

TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Fire Department responded to reports of smoke coming from a structure on Congress Street early morning Sunday.

TFD crews dispatched to the area of 400 block of East Congress Street around 5:41 a.m.

Upon arrival firefighters came across heavy smoke coming from the building.

Firefighters located the fire in an exterior stairwell spreading into the interior of the structure.

The fire was extinguished within 14 minutes of arrival.

No injuries were reported.

The building was determined to be unoccupied.

Fire investigators were on scene working to find the cause of the fire.
