Beginning today, local non-profits can apply for a community impact grant from Tucson Electric Power.
The company plans to give out $135,000 in money to organizations that provide education, protect the environment, or assist low income Tucsonans.
$125,000 will go to non-profits in Pima County and $10,000 will go to organizations in the White Mountains and Springerville area.
The deadline for local organizations to apply is July 30.
