The park will have the following.
- Two dog parks
- Two playgrounds for different ages children
- Basketball Court
- Perimeter walk path
- Zip line themed swing
Planning for the park began in 2015, and the City of Marana broke ground in June of 2017.
Before getting to work on building the park, nearby residents were surveyed about what they'd like to see go into the park.
Among all of the information that came back, officials with Marana Parks and Recreation were able to determine fitness and walkability was at the top of list when it came to what the neighborhood wanted.
They made sure to not only include a perimeter walk path but also make the park adjacent to the Tangerine Sky neighborhood.
The park will be having it's grand opening on August 10 at 9 a.m.
