The Tucson Airport Authority has reached an agreement with Uber to provide passengers another option for traveling from Tucson International Airport, according to a news release.

Uber will now be allowed to pick up passengers arriving in to TIA through Uber's mobile application. Official pick-ups are effective immediately.

Uber will be able to pick up passengers from the same designated area as Lyft, the designated area next to the rental car facility.

TAA announced that Lyft would be able to pick up passengers from TIA on June 16

"We are very pleased to launch uberX rideshare pick-ups at Tucson International Airport and thank the Tucson Airport Authority for the support," General Manager of Uber Arizona Steve Thompson said in the news release. "Now, residents and visitors from across Arizona and beyond will have the option to push a button and have the convenience of a ride when they land."
