The Sierra Vista Police Department has arrested a man who was wanted on multiple charges from separate incidents, according to a news release.
Sierra Vista police say Tyler "Goofy" Nahoopi, a transient in Sierra Vista, was wanted on an arrest warrant for kidnapping and robbery stemming from the robbery of a woman on November 13. He was then indicted by a Cochise County Grand Jury on two counts of robbery and two counts of kidnapping in the case.
He was also being sought by detectives in connection to a shooting on November 10.
On Friday night police learned Nahoopi may have been hiding out in the unincorporated lane of Nucci Lane south of Sierra Vista.
Officers then responded to the area just before 10 p.m. and saw Nahoopi standing outside one of the residences, which he then retreated inside to.
Officers then were able to get Nahoopi to come outside and took him into custody.
Authorities say Nahoopi has been charged with first-degree burglary and aggravated assault in connection to the November 10th incident.
He is currently being held in the Cochise County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
Police say on November 10, a man was shot at multiple times when a group of angry men confronted him at his home.
The man was not hit by any rounds during the incident.
20-year-old Juan Laborin-Rodriguez of Sierra Vista was arrested and indicted on November 17 on three counts of attempted murder, five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of misconduct with weapons as a prohibited possessor, and five counts of discharging a firearm within the city limit.
