Sierra Vista police arrested 41-year-old Michael Andrew Ramirez on multiple felony drug and weapon charges after they served a search warrant at a local hotel room Saturday morning, according to a news release.
Police say multiple anonymous sources shared information with them indicating that Ramirez, of Sierra Vista, was selling heroin and methamphetamine out of a hotel located in the 200 block of Carroll Drive.
Detectives then confirmed Ramirez had a room registered in his name.
Around 8.m. on Saturday, a high-risk search warrant was served by police at Ramirez's room.
He was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives then discovered the following items in Ramirez's room: about $20,000 in cash, about $3,200 worth of black tar heroin, a Glock model 27 handgun, and various drug paraphernalia.
SVPD also seized vehicles registered in Ramirez's name, including a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2008 Toyota Tundra.
Ramirez was then booked into the Cochise County Jail for possession of a narcotic, possession of a narcotic for sale, prohibited possessor of a weapon, possession of a firearm in a commission of a drug crime, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
