Superintendent Steve Holmes of Sunnyside Unified School District welcomed back employees ahead of the school year Monday.
Classes begin Wednesday in the Sunnyside School District.
"Sometimes it's those small things that make a difference. Sometimes it's something you did for a child in the third grade that later they remember and actually use that to talk about what made them successful," Holmes said.
The Superintendent will take the pep rally to other schools this week.
