Sunnyside neighbors are concerned with drivers speeding and racing through streets and running red lights putting pedestrians and other drivers in danger.
Residents say along 12th Avenue between Irvington and Valencia drivers are speeding and racing throughout the day.
Yolanda Herrera is the President of the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association and says this driving behavior needs to change.
"You will see them at the lights and revving up their cars and peeling out or you are going 35 miles per hour and they will go around you and that is during day time," Herrera said.
She says she has been hit 15 times by cars speeding.
"I have been hit from everything from an ambulance, a semi, 4-wheel drive, small vehicles," she explained. "I have been in a rollover so by the grace of god I am still here so and I think that might be my message to tell people to slow down and be more careful and aware."
Tucson Police say they are aware of the speeding and have increased patrol along 12th Ave. as well as asked the Department of Public Safety to assist patrolling the neighborhood.
